Orders to March

Wednesday, November 19, 1862

The men of the Twenty-Seventh, along with all regiments in the vicinity, received orders to prepare to march. General Franz Sigel of the Union Sixth Corps was rumored to be under attack by the Confederates at Centreville, near Fairfax. The march order was cancelled later in the evening. ¹
